Metal Talks
To get anywhere in Brokin, you'll need Metal or Oil. Metal is earned after each battle and from scrapping old worn out parts. Oil is purchased from our Shop and helps support the maintenance and new feature creation for the game. Oil can be used for a variety of things including: Premium Parts, Avatar Gear, Feature Upgrades, Time-Lapsed Buffs and more!.

Battling is what Junk: Battles is all about! (duh). It earns you metal, parts and experience in Brokin. Top pilot's will be rewarded for their efforts. There are two different types of battles you can have right now, PvP and Quest.
PvP
Battling against other player's is easy. Just click on the Arena icon and choose an opponent from the list. There are two important factors to watch here and that's Strength and Rating. You can also battle AI opponent's here for practice.

Strength: This is the overall strength of the opponent's craft based from their parts attached. The difficulty is relative to your crafts strength.

Rating: Each player starts with a 1500 rating. As you battle other players you win or lose rating points from your opponent.Quest:
If you're not ready for some PvP action, feel free to tour the world of Brokin and do some quests. These are available from the Travel icon in the header. There are 2 zones currently in Brokin with many more to come!
Battle Tips
Here's a few tips to make sure you survive in Brokin:

Don't Waste Time: You never want to sit there with your piston idling. Be sure to queue up as many actions as you can to ensure the damage keeps pouring on. Read the 'Actions and their Costs' for a better idea of strategies.

Swapping: You can swap actions onto the track as long as the action is the same length or less. A timely defensive swap can make all the difference in the outcome of the battle. Actions and their Costs
Actions are what win's you matches and saves your craft. They come in two main forms: Offensive and Defensive. Each of these can also have 1 of 4 costs.

Ammo: Ammo can be very powerful as it can be fired right away. However if you unload it too early, you'll be dead in the water waiting for your reload action to charge!

Power: Power action costs usually vary based on the strength of the action. Thankfully, it is a reusable resource which slowly recovers during battle.

Cooldown: At the beginning of each battle, cooldown based actions start at 0 seconds and recharge overtime until they're full. Once full they can be used.

Sacrificial: Sacrificial actions require HP to be used.Action Executing Patterns
Getting into further detail on actions, you may have noticed that not all damage is dealt at the same time while executing. There are 5 different executing styles:
Charging: These actions don't execute until the end of their duration.
Channeling: Channeling actions are executed at every 0.5 second interval. If the craft is dealt action (non ailment damage) this action immediately ceases.
Instant: Instant actions perform as soon as they hit the action reader.
Pulse: Pulse actions come in 1 and 2 second variations. They execute at either every second or every other second interval. For example, if its a 4 second action with Pulse 2 as its executing style. It will execute at 2 seconds in and at the end at 4 seconds.Parts
In the CORE set there is over 230 parts and growing every week! There are 5 types of parts:
Chassis: The chassis is where you craft begins. All other parts attach to this hunk of metal. Each chassis has some base attributes and a maximum allowance of Tech Points (TP). Each part requires tech points to be equipped. Right now, tech points range from levels 1 - 5. 5 generally being the strongest.
Weapon: Weapons are your primary means of dealin' damage to the opponent. Can't win the fight with good intentions, you gotta bust up his craft. Weapon's can deal 1 of 4 types of damage: Ballistic, Elemental, Energy or Melee. For each one of these damage types, there's an associated resistance type to prevent it.
Engine: Engine's are what spares Uncle Rusty from having to push your hunk of junk in battle. They also provide lots of armor and evasion, which is needed to keep alive.
Turret: Turret's can range in use from bigger versions of weapons to more utility driven devices to assist during battle. They're big and heavy and offer lots of good to your craft.
Attachment: Attachment's are the front mounted part's that are most likely to be smashed into your opponent's craft. Much like turret's, these parts can range in use from assisting in firepower to offering defensive actions.Rarity

Common: Common parts are the most... common parts in Brokin. You can identify these by the brown border around the part card.
Uncommon: The second most common rarity for parts. Higher level uncommons can only be found in premium packs.
Rare: Rare parts are the gold bordered parts. They are extremely effective. Each premium pack guarantees at least 1!
Exceptional: Exceptional parts are the most rare to come by in Brokin. Their diamond encrusted border will surely impress most Brokin Pilots.Attributes

HP: The life of your craft. When this reaches 0 your craft will explode.
Armor: This is how much incoming damage is reduced.
Armor: This is how much incoming damage is reduced.
Evasion: This is your chance to dodge an incoming attack.
Weight: This is how heavy your craft is. The heavier you are, the slower your piston moves in battle.
Power: This is how much power your craft has. Power is used for certain actions.
Regen: This is the rate at which you recover Power in battle.Scrapping a Part:
To scrap a part, find it in your collection and click the drop down box and select Scrap. The amount of scrap metal you'll get will depend on the parts rarity and level.
Listing a Part in the Auction House:
Listing a part in the auction house is a little different than selling a part. When listed, it goes up for auction for 7 days or until a bid occurs. Once a bid occurs, a random timer ~ 2 hours will begin. Once that time is over, the item goes to the highest bidder. If you are outbid, you get your money back. To reduce noise on the auction house, a small fee is required to list an item.
